Why HTTPS sites don't work in Internet Explorer

Why does it happen that some web pages on your computer open and others do not? And the same site can be opened in Opera, but in Internet Explorer the attempt will be unsuccessful.

Why HTTPS sites don't work in Internet Explorer

How to set the time and date correctly on your computer

The fact is that the HTTPS protocol is secure, and if you have the wrong time or date in your settings, then going to such a site in most cases will not work. By the way, one of the causes of this type of problem is a depleted battery on the motherboard of the computer or laptop. The only solution in this case is to replace it. The rest is much easier to fix.

You can change the date and time in the lower right corner of the desktop, below the clock.

Reboot devices

If the date is ok, then try restarting the computer, the router one by one. If it doesn't work, connect the internet cable directly to the computer. This way, you can see where to look for the problem.

Checking the accessibility of the site

Try to access the site through other browsers and if everything is fine, go to the Internet Explorer settings.

Hate… «Tools - Browser Properties».. File "Advanced".. Check the check boxes for the following items SSL2.0., SSL 3.0, TLS 1.1, TLS 1.2, TLS 1.0. If not, check and reload the browser.

Reset all settings

If the problem persists, retry "Control - Explorer Properties" and do… "Restart". of all settings.

Checking for viruses on your computer

Very often, various viruses can block access to websites. Do a full scan with your antivirus installed. I have the NOD 32 so I am showing it.

For reliability, you can bring additional utilities like AVZ or AdwCleaner.

By the way, the desired site can also be blocked by the antivirus itself, if you see it as a security threat. Typically, when trying to open such a site, a blocking message appears on the screen. If this is the problem, you can disable the antivirus, but only if you are sure that the resource is safe. Maybe it's blocking for a reason.

If neither method helped, then the files on your computer were corrupted. You can try to roll back the system to the last saved state (if any) or reinstall the operating system. When I ran into a similar problem, the restart option helped me.
