How to trim video in Sony Vegas Pro

How to trim video in Sony Vegas Pro

Launch Sony Vegas. The program interface will appear in front of you. At the bottom of the interface there is a timeline.

Move the video you want to trim to this timeline. To do this, just grab the video file with the mouse and move it to the specified area.

Place your cursor where you want the video to start.

Then press the "S" key or select the menu option "Edit> Split" at the top of the screen. The video segment must be divided into two segments.

Select the segment on the left and press the "Delete" key, or right-click the mouse and select "Delete".

Select the place in the timeline where the video should end. Perform the same operations as when trimming the beginning of the video. Only now the unwanted part of the video will be placed on the right side of the timeline after the next split of the clip into two parts.

Once you have trimmed a video segment, you will need to move the resulting segment to the beginning of the timeline. To do this, select the obtained video fragment and drag it with the mouse to the left (start) side of the timeline.

It only remains to save the resulting video. To do this, follow the following path in the menu: File> Render as ...

In the window that appears, select the path to save the edited video file and the desired video quality. If you need video parameters other than those suggested in the list, click the "Customize template" button and set the parameters manually.

Click the "Render" button and wait for the video to finish saving. This process can take anywhere from a couple of minutes to an hour, depending on the length and quality of the video.
