How to reset a call on an iPhone
Method 1: Control the doorbell
Of all the reset methods available on the iPhone, the simplest is to use a dedicated button "Decline" in a separate window or on a special page. It is absolutely indifferent that the origin of the call is from the standard "Telephone"., "FaceTime" or any established messenger.
-
- If you want to reset the call during a new call, just press the red button in the top pop-up, which immediately takes you to the desired result, while the name or number of the caller appears in the history. Please note that the banner above may not be present if you are using an outdated version of iOS or if you select the option Full screen option. in the configuration of incoming calls.
- To restore a previously minimized call without using a banner or launched dialog, tap the icon in the upper left corner or the status bar, depending on your device model, and press the key. "To refuse"., marked in red. As in the previous case, this will cancel the call, which will subsequently be highlighted in red in the call history "Telephone"..
- Separate mention deserves third-party messengers, whose interface in full screen mode may be different. However, in most cases a similar red button will suffice. "To refuse".as in our example.
Do not forget that each call, regardless of the messenger, can be simply abandoned after a certain time has elapsed. Although this does not apply to incoming calls, the call may be rejected by the caller.
Method 2: Power button
Incoming calls on any current iPhone model can be restored without using the screen by pressing the side power button twice within one second. This action is totally identical to that of resetting a call with the red button "Decline" and it will be indispensable when a slider is displayed instead of the usual controls.
In this way, only incoming calls can be restored before acceptance, while after pressing the green button it will be necessary to use the icons marked above or other methods of the instructions. At the same time, incoming calls on the second line during an active dialogue can still be canceled by pressing the indicated button twice.
Method 3: Voice command
Another way to reset the calls is to use the corresponding command of the voice assistant standard "Siri" on any iPhone regardless of iOS version. First of all, to do this you will need to visit Siri and search in the device settings and activate the assistant using the top sliders.

Once you've figured out how to activate Siri, during an incoming call, use any convenient way to call the voice assistant and ask "Call Readjustment".. Unfortunately, this method is only available in a limited number of cases because, for example, during a dialog it is simply not possible to call "Siri".
Method 4: Reboot through the headphones
When using wireless headsets, calls can be controlled directly through the headset using a dedicated button or gestures. In the brand's AirPods, this is done by touching the sensor on the side of one of the headphones twice in a short period of time, thus rejecting the call.
Many third-party headsets have a separate button, usually marked with a corresponding icon or one of three available, in addition to the volume control. In this case, it is better to read the instructions of the headset itself and perform the indicated action by pressing the button for a few seconds or by pressing once during a call.
Method 5: Block calls
Incoming calls can be automatically restored if previously configured «Phone settings use auxiliary parameters to identify and block calls. This solution will only be relevant in extreme cases and requires extra care when changing parameters to avoid blocking important calls.
-
- open standard "Settings". using the icon on the home screen, scroll to the next page and select "Telephone".. Here you must go to the category "Silence the unknowns". and activate the only option available.
- You can then return to the previous page and use the other options. For example, the function "Call Blocking and Caller ID" Allows you to block unwanted calls by third-party apps, while barring for specific numbers is set to "s blocked".
Nor should we forget the value-added services of many operators, which allow calls to specific numbers or based on spam lists to be suppressed. Blocking can also be set on individual messengers and "FaceTime".using the appropriate settings.
