Delete notifications on a locked iPhone

To hide notifications on the iPhone lock screen, just follow these simple steps:

  1. Go to Settings - Notifications.
  2. Select the app you want to hide notifications for, such as Messages (unfortunately, to completely remove notifications from the lock screen, you will have to do it for each app separately).
  3. Uncheck the "Locked screen" option.
  4. From now on, notifications from this app will not show while iPhone is locked. By returning to the previous screen, you can do the same with other applications.

In case you want to leave information about the notifications and which applications have sent them, but you require that the text and other content of these notifications not be displayed, you can do so from the home screen of Settings - Notifications.

Just tap on "Show thumbnails" at the top and select the "No blocking" option.

And an additional note: For the security of a locked phone, it may be convenient to deactivate Siri on the locked screen, simply by going into Settings - Siri and find and deactivate the option: "Siri with screen lock" and, in "Siri Suggestions", deactivate "On screen blocked up".
