You can make small adjustments to your video on any iPhone model using the built-in tools available in the system app. "Photo". As you can easily guess, this method is quite limited in of the features it offers and is only worth considering if you don't want to install any auxiliary software.

  1. To start editing, open "Photo". from the home screen app list, go to the category "Videos". and select the desired video. In the full screen view of the top bar, use the highlighted link "Edit".. If the signature is grayed out, unfortunately, you will have to use other means.

  3. Tools on the next tab "Correction". they aim to change the color palette of your video, either in automatic mode or by selecting the filters yourself. Whichever option you choose here, the degree of blending is controlled by the bottom slider.

    mentioned mode "Car"unfortunately it cannot be used after applying other filters, as the blend degree will automatically reset to the optimal value, but it can be done after making major changes. Also, the last four effects, including "Sharpness"., "Clarity", "Noise reduction". и "Bullet point".In any case, you must change it yourself.

  4. If you don't want to make the changes manually or if the tools are not enough, go to the tab "Filters" and select one of the prepared effects. The options shown here, again, can be controlled from the bottom without undoing the changes afterwards "Corrections"..
  5. The last remaining tab contains tools that can be used to change the size and orientation of the entire video at once. To control the framing, use the zoom gestures on the player thumbnail and the tabs at the bottom of the screen to achieve the desired result.

Method 2: Third Party Applications

A more flexible solution may be to consider third-party video editors, which will require manual installation from the official store and, in some cases, a subscription. We are not going to go through all the available solutions in detail, since each of them requires at least a separate manual, so we will limit ourselves to a simple list.

Option 1: iMovie

The only video editor in the manual that is official is iMovie, published by apple and distributed completely free of charge on all ed devices. This application cannot be called lightweight as it takes up a lot of memory space, but it does provide a large number of tools for different purposes.

iMovie from the App Store

The application mainly focuses on working with widescreen videos, which is a big drawback, while clips "9 × 16"Unfortunately, you can't process it here without using auxiliary tools. At the same time, if you work with a proper recording from the start, you can easily change the color scheme, add music, and overlay text.

Option 2: CapCut

Of the third-party applications, the CapCut editor deserves special attention, since it stands out from its counterparts by the large number of tools available absolutely free of charge. Here you can either manually change the content of the clip or use the "Automatism".it requires virtually no work with an editor.

If you decide to modify your videos manually, the app makes it easy to add speed up or slow down effects, overlay music and subtitles, change orientation and resolution, and paste multiple clips. Furthermore, the app allows you to quickly export the result in high quality, not only to your device's gallery, but also to social media apps installed on your iPhone.

Option 3: InShot

InShot, a well-known mobile app, does not differ much from the previous one in of functions, and in some aspects even sures it. In this case, you can stitch together multiple recordings, trim them, and apply various effects, from subtitles to filters to music.

InShot on the App Store

Look for the tools in the bottom bar, keeping in mind that the characteristics of the signature InShot Pro require a paid subscription. The disadvantages, apart from the not-so-cheap subscription, are the watermark and advertising in the free version, while the other features of the program are not a problem.

Option 4: Social Media

It is important to focus on social media apps like Instagram and TikTok, which can be used to create and manipulate content without the need for external editors. It's hard to single out anything in particular here, as there are unique toolsets and limitations from one app to the next.

The only thing that all the options have in common is that there are no paid features, since the tools, including complete sets of music libraries, are initially available to all s. Furthermore, it is possible to combine the built-in tools and external editors by loading a prepared clip from the device memory.

Method 3: Online services

The last method within the instruction is to use online services that provide a complete editor or individual tools directly in the browser. Among these services there are many options, of which we can highlight some:

123apps – a set of various tools that allow you to add effects, merge fragments and trim videos;
Videoredaktor – an editor with a minimal set of functions including splicing and trimming;
Hitpaw is one of the most advanced editors around, as good as many mobile apps.

We didn't consider web apps like Animaker or Visme as they require authorization and often a subscription. We have also moved away from specific online tools that are geared towards tasks and not full-blown editors.
